Great buggy saw

I'd like to start by saying I'm extremely impressed with the communication and quick responses by the support staff. The chainsaw didn't show out of stock online. After I ordered I received an email saying the saw was out of stock but was expected within 10 business days and given an alternative that was in stock at no charge. I wanted the NH843 so I chose to wait for it to be restocked. They kept me updated on the order until it was shipped.

I have a pile of Husqvarna and Stihl pro saws. I had a 562xp as a truck and buggy saw until it was stolen a few years ago. I've since either tossed a 261 Stihl or another 562xp Husqvarna in the buggy when I remember. There's times I forget to put it in and need it. This little thing will be perfect to just leave in there and not worry much about.

The saw came packaged well with lots of extras for the price. Bar is decent, chain is decent, the saw costs as much as 4 X-Cut chains so really can't complain. Cut the gasket on the strato port before I ran it. Fired up decent but it was super rich. Plenty of power for the size. Starter feels a bit flimsy and doesn't seem to sit quite right against the case.

Would I buy another? Probably, but the website not showing out of stock available for backorder or something for out of stock items is strange. But like I said they did offer an alternative at the same price.

Overall for the cost I think it's hard to beat for an around the house, truck, or buggy saw.

Cold Start
  1. Add fuel (fuel mixing ratio: 25:1).
  2. Close the choke. If the machine is equipped with a primer bulb, press it 3–5 times until the bulb is filled with fuel.
  3. Pull the starter rope 3–5 times.
  4. After hearing two “coughing” sounds,
  5. Open the choke.
  6. Pull the starter rope to start the machine.
Hot Start
  1. Open the choke.
  2. Pull the starter rope to start the machine.

The issue may be caused by an incorrect fuel mixture, spark plug problems, or a clogged carburetor.

  1. Check whether the fuel mixing ratio is 25:1. If not, adjust the fuel mixture to 25:1.
  2. Check whether the fuel line is bent or blocked.
  3. Check whether the spark plug is sparking properly.
  4. Check whether the engine is flooded.
  5. Check whether there is a carburetor malfunction.
  1. Confirm whether the spark plug is producing a spark: Remove the spark plug, connect it to the ignition coil, and place the spark plug electrode in contact with a metal part of the machine. Pull the starter rope and observe whether the spark plug produces a spark during starting.
  2. Check the electrode gap. The correct gap is 0.5–0.7 mm (approximately the thickness of a credit card).
  3. Clean oil residue and debris from the surface of the spark plug.
  4. If the engine still does not start after completing the above steps, replace the spark plug with a new one.
  5. Check whether the high-voltage wire (ignition coil lead) is damaged.
  1. Remove the spark plug.
  2. Turn the machine upside down.
  3. Pull the starter rope.
  4. Drain the excess fuel from the cylinder.
  1. Remove the air filter.
  2. Use an air blower to remove dust or debris from the air filter.
  3. If it cannot be cleaned or has been used for a long time, replace the air filter.
