This is my second NeoTec saw. I liked the first saw so much (6200A) I decided I could use a larger saw - the NS872. I ordered the saw with the 25 inch bar and chain. Saw was assembled easily. Took several pulls to start the first time. Since then it has started easily with few pulls. One pull when warm. I always use the decompression valve when starting. My saw has run well with the original carb settings. I realized fairly quickly that it was cutting with a curve on large logs. Upon close examination I found that the bar had been bowed during shipping. I contacted Neotec and they quickly replaced the bar. Since then it has been an absolute pleasure to use. It’s fairly heavy, but I need it for some heavy cutting. I let the weight work for me. I also decided that I could use a 28 inch bar. I got a Farm Mac bar and chain combo that worked great. See the photo. Neotec support is great.

Oil cap leaked and made a mess but I replaced it and all good

Did the job ..did up grades to it with some mods. Has bin faithful so far.
My old stihl 038 Just playing worn out a many years ago of wear and tear on it so this one shares its accessories now not a bad clone not a bad clone at all performs just as well.
Ps. Do y'all self's a favor get a ngk plug and seal the decomposition button. Major fail points. Do that and you'll have an excellent running saw

Saw is great.1st time it’s hard to start but so are all saws. The people in here having issue I believe are amateurs. This is a stihl copy that’s made better than the original. I have always had issues with any saw that wasn’t a stihl or a husqavarna. This saw rocks!

I bought this saw about a month ago and have already run 4 tanks of fuel through it. It pulls a 20 inch bar with authority and does a good job with a 24 inch. Has the usual NEOTEC quality and appears to be very durable, of course time will tell. For the money you can't beat the NEOTEC NS872. I have used Stihl for many years to make my living but my last 4 saw purchases have been NEOTEC NS872. Hard to eat the value of the NEOTEC power equipment !!

By far and away the best saw that I myself have ever used in my life hackberry mesquite oak Red oak Black oak Cypress they fall like a house of cards. There is a demon trapped in the machine and it is hungry..... Can you dig it? Because if you don't know now you know. You know?

So far I have only cut a few trees but it starts good and runs good. It is a heavy chainsaw but I suppose that is expected with a 70cc saw and 25" bar. Only time and use will tell. It was a very low price compared to other name brand saws. It is very good value for the money.

It was a perfect purchase and delivered as promised.

Works great and cuts fast. It came with a package of plastic pieces that I have no idea what they do. They could give more info with it. for example what size of file does the chain use. the mixing bottle is a bit confusing to understand

I have used my neotech climbing saw a bunch of times. I used my 872 a few times love this saw for the price I will continue using neotech for chainsaws.

Make sure to order the correct size bar for the saw.

This is a well-built chainsaw. Only the chain tensioner is kind of flimsy.

Just used this for the first time today. Cut 3.5 cords of firewood side by side a Stihl and a Husky. This saw held its own and then some! I would definitely recommend this saw to a friend!

This saw is the real deal. Has plenty of power to handle anything I can throw at it. Sawed up a walnut tree that was over 36 inches DBH. Get a nice big bar on it to really get the most out of the saw.

I have had this saw about a month now, so durability will be judged later. However, I am pretty impressed so far. Out of the box did not have to make any adjustments and it started and ran well. I have cut a few slabs and done some regular cross cut sawing with it and it seems strong and consistent. Assuming it holds up to long term use, I would say this is a very good saw and an excellent value

Instructions are bare minimum. Look elsewhere for basic instructions on chainsaw operation and safety. Oil and gas caps vibrate loose.
That said, it started right up and ran smoothly.

This saw ROCKS! It has plenty of POWER and TORQUE for all of your felling needs within it's capability.
The saw cranks every time and idles all day long once tuned out. I put a 28" bar with an Oregon full house chain, and it eats everything I feed it.

Easy set up. Start and give proper break in.

I bought this saw to mill . My other saw was to small. The saw came fast and set up was a little challenging but I got it done. The saw started right up and ran great . I put it down and shut it off and looked down at it and the decompression valve was missing form the top of the saw. I found it on the ground . And the other end was in the cylinder. So I called costumer service and they offered to send a new power head . I said no . I wanted a new power head . Because the saw was only 3 weeks old and I shouldn’t have to wrench on it in that short time. So they sent me a new power head . I ran it today . Ran fine . First thing you do is shut the carb screws in and back them out one full turn . It will start every time and run well . O and they provide a plug for the decompression valve. This time I removed it right away and will replace it with a real Sthil 660 valve. Other than that faulty part I think the old saw would of kept running fine.

Ordering was easy but i think i have hole in my fuel line after it sets over night it will not start but i give it some starting fluid it starts fine and runs all day just fine

Now that I've got this powerhead broken in, I can say that I'm truly pleased with it. I bought it for use with a light-duty chainsaw mill but it has exceeded my expectations. Be aware that it really likes a 25:1 fuel/oil mix but that wasn't a big issue. Also, as with all these small motors (saws, trimmers, etc.), avoid gasoline that's been cut with ethanol. After that, this is the one saw I own that starts reliably and runs without a hitch.

I bought 2 of these, one with an 18" bar, one with a 24/25" bar. It eats whatever you feed it. I had some issues with one, but vendor made it right. One had the plug wire goofed up and a cracked hand guard, but they refunded me enough to cover buying replacement parts to avoid delays. Parts are easy and cheap to find.

The other was solid in build, but wouldn't start either. My dad said these big boys can be hard to start, and gave me some tips that will likely help others, so here they are. First, if the saw fires at all on full choke, move it to half choke and it'll start pretty quickly. If it floods, pull the plug and heat it up good. Just use a lighter or couple of matches to heat it and get carbon scoring on the tip. Then put it back and that heat will help it evaporate excess fuel and it'll start from half choke pretty quickly. It's started after 3-5 pulls since with those tips.

Careful cutting smaller diameter, it'll pick the cut piece and throw it back and that's none to pleasant, even wearing protective chaps... Be safe and enjoy, I have no regrets at this price, and know I can put a much longer bar on one should the need ever arise.

After receiving our saws, we were first surprised in the packaging. The saws aren't just thrown in a box. They are packaged in such a way that the protection level is very high. Secondly, the wait time for delivery was very short. As for the equipment itself that was a pleasant surprise also. In owning several saws from several manufacturers, it has become ever so hard to have a low cost with a great value. We have found Neotec has both! From the quality of the equipment ,to the high ability of the saws, we are very happy with our saws!

Well it started so that was good… changed spark plug first off to ngk and adjusted carb, it took a few pulls for it start but it started. Gonna use it for milling as soon as I get my 28” bar. Will try and update once I start milling
